Contractor Requirements

The Village of Lindenhurst requires a $5,000 License & Permit Bond from ALL contractors (except Plumbers *) who perform permitted work within Village limits. Bonds are obtained through the Contractors’ insurance company and must be made out to the Village of Lindenhurst.

Please note: A License & Permit Bond is NOT a Certificate of Insurance.

Bonds should be for a term of one year, and can be mailed to the Village Hall or emailed to: kmccollum@lindenhurstil.org

*Plumbers are the only contractors exempt from this requirement. Plumbers are simply required to submit their Illinois State Plumbers or Contractors license to the Village with their permit application.
