Welcome to the Village of Lindenhurst's website.

Our website is designed to provide useful information about Village programs and services. In addition, the website keeps residents updated on current events, news and projects, and provides numerous e-government initiatives, including electronic bill payment and the ability to submit a request for service online.

Lindenhurst has come a long way since becoming incorporated in 1956. High quality neighborhoods incorporate scenic wetland preserves, lakes, rolling hills, woods and over 400 acres of forest preserves, walking trials and permanently preserved open space.

Our 14,406 residents have an average family income that exceeds the average of other communities in the area. Over 90 percent of our residences are owner-occupied, detached, single-family homes.

Lindenhurst offers an ideal business and family environment. Lindenhurst is located in Lake County, Illinois, and in Lake Villa Township, along Route 132 (Grand Avenue), only minutes west of the Interstate I-94. Chicago's O'Hare Airport and Milwaukee's Mitchell Field are both less than a 50-minute drive.

Lindenhurst's educational needs are met by numerous school districts offering elementary, middle and high schools. The area also offers parochial and other private education to its residents. Colleges, universities and vocational schools are within commuting distance.

Our park district maintains 18 parks throughout the village, and offers programs for all age groups.

The Village has acquired Lake Michigan water, which will provide our residents and businesses with a high-quality, sustainable supply of water. More information is available on our website.

The Village of Lindenhurst, in partnership with our community, continuously strives to provide a safe, healthy, and vibrant environment through quality customer service, public safety, progressive leadership, and financial responsibility.
