Trustee Dickson moved to Lindenhurst in 2015 with his wife Sue (who grew up on Northgate Road), and their then 3-year-old son, Ryan.

Patrick was elected to the Village board in 2021. He volunteers with the Village’s ERIN program. He also created the “Maddox Butterfly Foundation” Adopt-a-Highway group that cleans up Sand Lake Road, the “Back in the Fight” veterans group, and the Lindenhurst Box Exchange*.

Trustee Dickson is on the Village Finance Committee, Lakes Commission, as well as the SWALCO Board of Directors.

Patrick spent 13 years in the Air Force repairing electronics. After getting his Journalism degree at the University of Connecticut, he spent 16 years as an editor at “Stars and Stripes,” the hometown newspaper for servicemembers overseas, rising to the positions of Washington Bureau Chief and Middle East Bureau Chief.

After graduating from College of Lake County, he joined the NorthShore University Health System as an X-ray technician. He currently works in Immediate Care.

Patrick has coached little league, been involved with Boy Scouts, and with his neighbors, created Venetian Night on Lake Linden.
