High winds in April caused severe erosion of the shoreline undercutting the bank.  Major restoration began Monday May 10th as the Village has had to step in to do major work to repair the damage to this shoreline and prevent future erosion.  Commissioner Glenn Green will resume adding new plantings after this completion of the shoreline stabilization.

The first picture below shows the shoreline from one year ago and the remainder show the current damage.

Watch the restoration project proceed in accordance with NPDES guidelines by returning to here from time to time.

Restoration Phase I began with Village employees preparing the area for rip rap.  In Phase II the rip rap has been added.  In Phase III the trail is restored.  Click here to view pictures of the progress.
