Building Office
 
The Building Office is responsible for the plan review, issuance of construction permits, and inspection of all residential and commercial construction activity.  Construction activity is reviewed and inspected by the Village to ensure compliance with national building codes and local ordinances.
  • Monitor and enforce building and zoning regulations on existing property and perform compliance reviews and inspections on new construction.
  • Issues permits for any building or property changes including fences, decks, yard sheds, windows, roof replacements, etc.

Engineering Office

  • Provides engineering design reviews and engineering inspections for public improvements and utilities to be constructed in new subdivisions to ensure compliance with Village ordinances and requirements.
  • Supervises the engineering contract services.
  • Assists in oversight for construction of the capital improvement program.
  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, reconstruction or replacement of all existing infrastructure serving the general populace.
  • Responsible for development and construction of new residential and non-residential infrastructure of the Village.
  • Provides miscellaneous engineering support for the Village and residents.

    Phase 1 Watermain 2016 Project – Old Elm Road and Woodlane Drive paving is complete. Berger Construction will be starting punchlist concerns in June.

    Final restoration and paving have just started. Recent heavy rains have hampered final landscape work and asphalt paving has just started this spring. The BJ Hooper ballfield and backstop are now in.
