The Village hosts it's four day annual festival sponsored by "Lindenfest, Inc.", the 2nd weekend in August. The festival is Thursday through Sunday and is located on the Village Hall grounds and adjacent Slove Park. Thursday kicks off with the "Little Miss", "Junior Miss" and "Miss Lindenhurst" pageant. Friday, Saturday and Sunday provide live main stage musical entertainment, local dance troupes, magicians and crowd entertainment. All four days include a variety of food and beverage booths, exhibits, bingo and a carnival midway. There is no admittance charge to the public.

The Village sponsors the annual "Earth/Arbor Day" event at the Public Works garage adjacent to the Village Hall. Activities include a village wide clean-up where volunteer groups are provided with trash bags and sent to various locations throughout town from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Starting at 11:00 the garage is opened to the public where numerous exhibitors are set up for viewing, touching and learning about area wildlife. Other exhibits include Village arbor activities and a local Lake Commission booth for consultation regarding questions and programs. Lindenhurst Park District, a co-sponsor, provides free hot dogs and soda pop for all attendants. Free compost, and wood chips are provided by Jensen Disposal.
